Of SATs and Steampunk

Writing took a dive yesterday.  It’s not looking good for today, either.  SATs took precedence, not something I’m happy about, but that’s that.

I haven’t posted anything in the last few days, for various reasons, SAT being responsible for yesterday.  The other days…well, I confess, I really hadn’t all that much to say.  Today, however, there’s news.

The new novel, “Hunter – Eyes in the Storm” hit 7K day before yesterday.  I’m working on the fourth chapter now and this story seems to really be shaping up to be hot stuff.  To quote my alpha reader “More! More! More!”.  That was after reading everything I’d written up to that point.  Being a “eagerly-awaited” author is so demanding. (haha, yeah, right!)

The short story “Indian Morning” is nearing 1K, slowly due to work on the full novel.  At this rate, you may have it, free-to-read, sometime next week.

In non-Hunter news, I’m considering doing something in this genre, right here:  Top 10 Literary Steampunk Works

If I do decide to write it, expect to see sailing ships, clock-work cannons, mechanical hook-hands, spring-powered parrots, and horse-less carriages that just happen to fly as well.  If you’d like to see such a novel, please tell me about it in the comments!
